Postpartum Home Visit
The postpartum period is the phase of getting to know each other and recovering after the birth. Midwife accompanies you in this phase on a holistic level and support the growing process toward parenthood.
Not only does the World Health Organisation recommends a certain amount of postpartum home visits for mother and newborn, but studies are showing more and more how important continuous care after birth is.
Postpartum care is especially recommended to prevent maternal and infant morbidity. Over the last few years, studies have also shown, that it improves maternal knowledge, skills related to parenting, maternal mental health, maternal quality of life, and maternal physical health. One has also found, that postpartum home services can significantly decrease the common complications in this period and increase the mothers’ & family’s satisfaction.
