Lecture: The Woman's Body during Pregnancy
This lecture provides an overview of the changes in mental and physical health that accompany pregnancy. The midwife talks about what happens in the body during the different trimesters and explains the necessity of the tests used in pregnancy monitoring. It dwells longer on various ailments that are common during pregnancy and also gives advice on relief options and when it is necessary to turn to a midwife or doctor in an emergency. We will also talk about different emotions/feelings that are relevant during pregnancy and some advice on how to maintain your mental health during pregnancy and how to understand when you need help from a specialist. In addition, it explains the positive benefits of regular exercise and a healthy diet during pregnancy.
Currently, this lecture is only available in Estonian, however, you can cover the topics in English with our midwife via our private family school appointment.
